Minimum Time/Maximum Experience!
NOTE; The Gelert choir has been chosen and there are no openings for additional singers. Please come to a performance and enjoy the music.
Exultate is performing the North American Premiere of Gelert. This musical production, written for orchestra, adult choir, children’s choir and soloists, is based on the legendary Welsh folktale about the faithful hound that saved Prince Llwelyn’s baby son. The libretto, written by renowned author and poet, Grahame Davies, is brought to life through the exciting musical score by Paul Mealor. Don’t miss the opportunity to attend ‘Gelert’ and meet the composer and librettist.
Both the composer and the librettist will be in attendance at these performances.
There are still openings in the choir! You can be a part of this marvelous experience. With excellent singers and instrumentalists we will be performing this wonderful work of art. The preparation is minimal as the score is not difficult to learn. Your commitment is to attend three rehearsals and 2 (perhaps three) concerts.
Participation Fee: $25 – The funds are used for rental of the scores which must be returned, publicity and choir materials and meetings. Scholarships are available for those who cannot afford the fee.
