
Impassioned Music from the Soul – For the Soul!
Experience the marvelous Oratorio ‘Crucifixus’ by Paul Mealor performed with Exultate’s expanded Festival choir and orchestra. The composer will be in residence with the choir and orchestra in preparation for the Minnesota Premiere of this excellent work.
You can be a part of this marvelous experience. With the addition of more singers and instrumentalists we will be performing the Oratorio ‘Crucifixus’ by welsh composer, Paul Mealor. The preparation and performances of this amazing choral work will provide performers and listeners with a marvelous experience of outstanding sounds. We will also be preparing and performing several other short choral works by this illustrious composer: A Spotless Rose, Stabat Mater (Mov. 2), Locus Iste, Ubi Caritas and a surprise work.
Good choral singers are needed to join the professional chamber choir and orchestra of Exultate in this exciting project. This is your chance to perform this incredible masterpiece in three concerts. Your commitment is to attend nine rehearsals, three concerts and one recording session. Participant fee will be $40.00 which covers the cost of all of your score (which you may keep) and materials.

Auditions – less than 7 minutes and “painless” – (no solo literature required – good choral singing a must) Thursday, February 6, 2020 – 6:00 – 9:45 PM – Christ the King Lutheran Church – Bloomington.
About Auditions: They last no more than 7 minutes and include some singing of scales, vocal exercises, sight-reading, tonal memory and vowel production. You will be asked to sing Silent Night (we will have the music available). No prepared solo is required or desired.

(Please note: we will not be doing final scheduling for the auditions until after Christmas 2019 but you are encouraged to complete the application at any time.
