Season 28 of Exultate-Glorious Music and a European Tour

The 2024-25 Season will be very special. Exultate has been invited to perform at the International Bach Festival in Leipzig, Germany in June, 2025. It is an incredible honor to be invited as this is the foremost Bach Festival in the world. The international tour will be June 12-21, 2025 and we will have performances in Germany: Berlin, Leipzig, Köthen, Eisenach and in the Czech Republic: Prague. The full itinerary and costs for members will be available to you if you submit an audition application. Don’t miss this “once in a lifetime” opportunity to perform in the sanctuary of St. Thomas Church (where Bach worked from 1723-1750) in Leipzig, Germany during Bachfest 2025! The tour includes 6 performances in spectacular venues presenting exquisite music for enthusiastic audiences. WOW!

The following is information about the season and the audition process. If you are interested, please fill out the application below. We will then be in touch with you soon to schedule your audition.

The choir and orchestra are open to any fine musician interested in committing time and energies to accomplishing high standards and a high level of music making. There are openings in all sections of the choir for the 2024-2025 season and from time to time openings in the orchestra.

Exultate is a fine orchestra and choir dedicated to performing at the highest level of artistry. Our concerts are filled with music from all periods of music history and our ultimate goal is to move the listener’s soul. Through intense rehearsals we prepare music and then present performances in acoustical spaces which enhance the listener’s experience and enable that music to move from voice to ears to heart and become music in its purest form – the language of emotions. What a privilege! We also have a great deal of fun doing so. Both the orchestra and choir are made up of musicians from all walks of life, many communities within the Twin Cities and a broad range of ages. We enjoy singing and playing together in rehearsals, concerts and off stage at gatherings, parties and other events.

We also have several recording sessions each season and release new albums often.  We have more than 30 CDs in our library of recordings sold all over the world through our own web site, iTunes, Amazon.com and a host of other digital outlets.

If you are interested in auditioning for the choir, the first step is to complete and submit the form located at the bottom of this page. If you have additional materials such as a resume you may submit that as well directly to the conductor, Dr. Thomas D. Rossin by email at:  trossin@comcast.net.

Additional Auditions are being held during the afternoons or evenings from September 23-27, 2024. The audition process is slightly different for this year since there is an international tour involved. Please read the following steps carefully to be sure your audition proceeds smoothly. Thanks much.

• Complete the audition form at the bottom of this page. After submitting it we will send you an email telling you that we have received your application.

If you indicated that you want to include the European Tour in your membership you will also receive a link to the detailed itinerary and cost of the tour. (This is private information so we don’t want to have it available to the public.)

• You will then have a chance to either confirm that you want to keep the tour in your membership or change membership options.

In the return email we will also assign a time and place for your audition based on your suggested times.

• The audition will take place as arranged. Musicality, sightsinging, tone production, memory and vocal agility are tested through the use of musical examples, exercises and vocal scales. No prepared solo is required. (We are interested in excellent choral singers who may or may not have a solo voice.) Auditions last approximately 15 minutes. Several days after your audition you may be asked to return for a group callback audition.
