Kristin Morant, soprano I

Kristin Morant, soprano, has performed many of the most spectacular coloratura roles in the opera repertory. Opera engagements have included Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Magic Flute with Twin Cities Lyric Theatre, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Elisa in Il re pastore, Olympia in Les contes d’Hoffmann and Cecile in the midwestern premiere of Susa’s The Dangerous Liaisons – all with the University of Minnesota Opera Theatre. On the Minnesota Opera’s Midwestern Tour, she appeared as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro and the Narrator Bat in the premiere of Carla Alcorn’s The Cat Who Walks by Himself. With the Minnesota Opera, she has also appeared in Les contes d’Hoffmann, Street Scene and Die Zauberflote. Other roles premiered include the Oracle in Shirley Mier’s The Oracle at Delphi and Marcantonio in the Minnesota Opera’s premiere of Dominick Argento’s Casanova’s Homecoming.

Joy Roellinger, soprano II

Joy Roellinger, soprano, has been involved in music since childhood, when she began singing, acting and playing the flute. She studied vocal music education at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Joy has been a member of Exultate Chamber Choir and Orchestra since 2009 and has appeared as a soloist in their performances of Felix Mendelssohn’s Gloria and Magnificat in D Major, J S Bach’s Magnificat (BWV 243), Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria and Karl Jenkins’ Requiem. Currently, she sings with Exultate, Minnesota Chorale and PopUp Choir. In addition to singing, Joy is a treasury accountant for Allianz Life Insurance Company. She resides in Minneapolis, MN with her husband and three children.
Krista Costin, mezzo-soprano

Krista Costin, mezzo-soprano, has been featured as a soloist and ensemble member with various ensembles such as Oratory, Consortium Carissimi, MN Bach Ensemble, The Singers, MN Chorale, House of Hope Motet Choir, Mount Olive Bach Tage, Oregon Bach Festival, Transept – a new, Sioux Falls based ensemble, and various Bachakademies in Stuttgart and Weimar, Germany under the direction of Helmuth Rilling. An avid singer of Bach, she is also passionate about collaborating on new works. Krista won first place by audience choice at the 1st annual SongSlam at Icehouse in January 2018, performing a new art song written for her by local composer Tim Takach, How to Triumph Like a Girl. 2018-2019 season highlights include alto solo engagements with Consortium Carissimi (Bach BWV 147), Exultate (Bach Mass in B Minor), Oratory (Bach St John Passion with the MN Dance Theatre) and Minnesota Bach Ensemble (Bach BWV 132 and 164), as well as a debut with Mirandola Ensemble and performances with Transept in Sioux Falls. www.kristacostin.com
Nicholas Chalmers, tenor

Nicholas Chalmers, tenor, is thrilled to sing with Exultate! He has sung with The Rose Ensemble, The Bach Society of Minnesota and Lyra Baroque Orchestra, the Minnesota Bach Ensemble, Glorious Revolution Baroque, The Singers-Minnesota Choral Artists, and the Minnesota Chorale. Recent solo engagements include Oratory, Magnum Chorum, the Church Music Association of America, the St. Mark’s Cathedral Concert Series, and The Schubert Club. Nicholas recently concluded his Master’s studies in Choral Conducting at the University of Minnesota, where he conducted several campus ensembles and held a Teacher’s Assistant position in the music theory department. Nicholas is in his fifth year as the Director of Music at Chesterton Academy and was recently appointed Director of Music at Annunciation Church in South Minneapolis. He is also Artistic Director of the Mirandola Ensemble, which presents programs of rarely performed early music from the Medieval and Renaissance eras strategically juxtaposed with the compositions of 20th and 21st century.
Aaron Larson, baritone

Aaron Larson, baritone, has appeared frequently around Minneapolis singing Bach, often with organizations like the Bach Society of Minnesota, Oratory Bach Ensemble, Lyra Baroque Orchestra, Exultate and Ensemble Caprice. Other recent performances include Einhorn’s The Passion of Joan of Arc with the Oratorio Society of Minnesota, Kortekangas’s Seven Songs for Planet Earth with the Masterworks Chorale of Augsburg, the world premier of Paulus’ When Church Bells are Ringing with the Minnesota Orchestra, Bach’s Mass in B minor with VocalEssence, and many appearances with the Waverly Consort. Aaron last performed with Exultate in their performances of the Bach St. Matthew Passion.
