In March 2002, Exultate presented not only the wonderful music of the B-Minor Mass, but made available for viewing a Bible that was actually owned by J. S. Bach himself. His own notes in the margins lend a fascinating window into the man’s faith and genius. Dr. Thomas Rossin, Exultate’s founder and conductor and an expert on the Bible, held pre-concert lectures about the various notations throughout the Bible, insight into the mathematics of Bach’s compositions and other interesting facts about the Mass itself.
